Electric P1B "Lightning" - 1:33 - GELI

Hello

For the showcases at the GoMo 2018 this year my choice fell on an old GELI bow from my archive.

It is the English supersonic hunter Electric Lightning. The pressure is quite neat, there are about 160 parts to install.

These are spread on three sheets of glossy silver print and a sheet of cardboard with the frames.

Maybe you will visit me at the Styrian booth, I would be happy ...............

Kind regards
Kurt

I think a lot of people got started in paper models with Geli kits.

Wish I could be there to see the actual model, but will look forward to seeing it take shape here.

Geli and PMI were my introduction. Thank you for not letting us forget our roots.

Fascinating subject, can I just say the company name is "English Electric", it is not a reference to the nationality of the builders. The proper name is "English Electric Lightning", "hunter" does not make an appearance anywhere. Sorry, a bit pedantic where proper names come in. "English supersonic hunter Electric Lightning", strikes me as a construct by the marketing people.

Hello friends of Lightning

The Lightning is really a bit strange built, but that makes the charm.

But now go with the GoMo model build ...

We start GELI like with the hull part 3 with straps ... and frames.
Cockpit fuselage ... and Part 1 glued.
In part 4 glue the frame behind, the hull grows slowly.

Best regards
Kurt

good start.

i like GELI silver paper.

Their silver paper is very shiny and nicely represents the metal in the real bird.

In addition, their silver paper, as opposed to other companies' silver paper is simple, and is not so sensitive to glue stains.

in the past, I built their Mirage model.
