Thank you Yoav and Dan, I just poured some plaster for the canopy mold following your directions Yoav, hopefully can make an acceptable canopy. I'm also working on little parts that make up the structure of the cockpit sides, lots of little pieces to place and glue.

Some additional efforts, the structure behind the seat is fairly complex, and adds some nice detail with the seat attached, and some basic cockpit structure that these parts will be added to. The canopy mold was successful and popped about a couple copies with vacuformer slow forward progress. Very slow it seems but hopefully can make a descent skin although not too happy with my photoshop results yet...working on it though decided on 343-22 which was flown by CPO Tomokazu Kasai who flew wingman for both Sugita and Kanno, but lived to tell the tale.

I think you would easily build a panel like this Yoav, although one does need some sharp punches to make it look ok, (one of mine used was sharp..)
Thanks Don, pretty spacious I think maybe not as big a a P-47 ha
I did a bit more today control stick, ect and shortly can likely put the cockpit together, although little of this will be readily visible as is often the case with Halinski, so need to take pics before I close it up.. not quite ready for the peices

Gas bottles

Looks like the pilot was surrounded by gas bottles. What a worrying thought.
Brave men on all sides.

Outstanding
