Right you are, and these planes were the least likely of Japan's aircraft to flame

Progress for the time being, won't have time to work on this for a bit, so pictures of growing complexity by putting the cockpit parts together. Have to love these Halinski kits, I haven't added any extra items..fun to make.
Unfortunately I'm back to the start with a new printer/scanner, but have finally figured out how to use it I think...hope to get some colors for the plane that are a bit unique with photoshop this week.

A beautiful level of detail in the cockpit Glen.
Do you work with a magnifying glass to build such small pieces? YOAV |

Thank you, yes definitely!! I wish my eyes were a bit better up close but at my age that would be fortunate....

Thanks Mike for dropping in on this one, I'm happy to be doing a bit of model work again, although I'm not quite ready to resume the Ann Mckim, as she waits patiently on the desk still with shiny copper, if I do I'll have to redeck her. Even if I don't it is nice to have a ship on the desk... In the meanwhile I will enjoy the ships of others...

Thanks Don, Photoshopping presently have purchased an inexpensive printer, canon ts 9020, it is 2 years old model but still new on Amazon..color copies not as good as print and scans so far but likely will change the color copy settings to be good all round...we'll see how it works shortly ha

I'm joining the conversation a bit late, but with full admiration of your detailed work. Great stuff.
I had this kit, but the minute details and many tiny parts just made it impossible for me to start it. I gave it away. We have a beautiful preserved version at the Air Force Museum in Dayton where I volunteer. It is an elegant plane. I pass by it often. Isaac

Thank you for stopping in on this Issac These kits are in your wheelhouse definitely I study them for quite awhile always before starting though ... sometimes for weeks.. I don’t have English instructions though. I wish I could see examples of this aircraft and the Mossie both are very scarce these days . I read that only 3 N1K2s were shipped to the US following the war for analysis your plane may be one of those ? Photos are even scarce.
