It's taking shape nicely Glen. Looks like it should be on the factory assembly line.

That looks awesome, Glen. This is really helping as I look at the same model in my stash. Looks really neat and clean.

When I did plasteeq I always wondered why anyone would spend all that time on something no one would ever see. These planes should convey the essence not every ribbet.

Thanks fellow modelers for your comments and support
Moving on to some really cool parts, the elevators and rudder details, really adds a cool look to this part of the plane. Hoping to move on to figuring out how the cowling goes together, here are the parts. The visual 3d drawings are very good that are the main instructions

Outstanding work, Glen.
Good choice to model an aircraft flown by PO1C Kasai. How did you manage to link that tail number to him? I've found lots of images of Kasai (including one in the cockpit of an unidentifiable Shiden-kai (in Hata and Izawa, p. 200) in various sources (Sakaida & Takaki, Skaida, and Hata and Izawa), but no image to a specific Shiden-kai that he flew. Thank you busoramas and Don
Don the link is from Izawa, in his book on Raiden and shiden Kai aces. I'm not convinced any of these pilots flew one aircraft on a regular basis though. I looked at pictures for a long time....still have another novel number to use but Kasai was interesting to me as he may yet be alive? He was in recent years. Hasagawa models has 343-23 as his plane... what swung me this direction was him holding a model of 343-22 during a interview several years back, and Izawa.

Great work, Glen. The level of details is simply fantastic. The cowling represent a challenge to smooth out the seams as much as possible and to create a round effect. Embossing on the inside joints, after assembly of all the individual rings might give the desired result.
