Now the air intake is ready for assembly to the model body.

Your Falcon is coming along nicely Yoav. Smart way of shaping the air inlet as it is not the easiest part of the model. The template surely does the trick!

Such a clean assembly. You are a geometry wizard. Cannot believe you are not modeling that with 3D software. Genius!

Clever solution to the intake, and simple. Great build, as always. Your models are always so cleanly assembled.

The F-16 is my second all time favorite jet fighter (after the Mirage F1)... It's too bad Israel never used the F1... YOAV, your F-16 project has a special place in my heart and I need to see it to completion.

cockpit and canopy
Today I managed to finish the cockpit with its interior parts and close the canopy.
YOAV some pictures of the process. All parts are assembled inside the cockpit ejection seat inside the cockpit Now that we have put all the parts into the cockpit together with the ejection seat, we can now move on to the stage of building the canopy. The canopy consists of 2 parts ... Front and long frame and short rear frame. The 2 frames need to be connected before they are glued to the transparent canopy. Now the canopy is ready for assembly. As you can see, the canopy is a bubble canopy and a good technique is needed in order to fit it properly. My method, gluing with a little drop of super glue with toothpick in the front of the canopy frame and then pasting the back side, again with super glue. After the super glue has dried well ... again, using a toothpick that is dipped in super glue, Insert the super glue with toothpick gently under the frame and begin tightening the canopy frame to the cockpit. |

Great Yoav!
The thought of using super glue near the cockpit would really worry me. I don't know how many models I have wrecked the clear parts on, when the fumes from the super glue got to the clear parts and fogged them. You must use really tiny amounts. Maybe also the glue you use also puts out less fumes.....

Too much... just too much... I saw plastic models with way less details!!! I am drooling all over this thread.
