It's great to see you back in the saddle Yoav. Your work is, as always. fantastic. Please don't overdo anything that might cause your back to relapse

1 mm thick strips of cardboard along the lower body.
The role of cardboard strips , to allow easy paste of the parts of the lower body.
The formers should be mounted between the two strips.

The lower parts

Although in the pictures above, we can see the formers attached to the body, I worked in a different method.
At first I paste the part into his place and only then insert the former into the part ..... It is easier for me in this method.

And so I went on until I finished the last parts of the lower body.

The central body is finely assembled.

another great creation in the making

The work on the model goes slowly because I try as little as possible not to stretch my back and make a lot of breaks.

In addition, I found some mistakes in the prototype, so I had to correct it during the construction of the final model.

YOAV

engine exhaust

The process of assembling the engine house and the engine exhaust.

After assembling the engine house, the engine itself must be inserted on the front side of the engine house.
After that, the engine house must be attached to the model body and only then the engine should be pulled out and fixed.

air brakes

some vents under the main body

Metal plates attached to the back of the model.
I found these plates only on plane No. 107.
I do not know what their purpose is.
May be used to strengthen the fuselage because of problems of material fatigue.

The white areas on the back of the model indicate the place where the metal plates are glued.

Here are pictures of the metal plates on the back of the plane, from the real airplane at the Air Force Museum.

The transition where the center fuselage separates from the assemblies with the air brakes is so neat and symmetrical! The rear view picture shows it perfectly. Beautiful
