I have never built a decent plane, other then very simple stuff before.

I really like your artwork, and the Israeli schemes, so I was to try one of yours.

For me a clear canopy is a must, so after having watched and read your excellent tutorial, I am going to try and see if the plastic is available here. If it is I will try and see if I can make one. And if successful then I will start one of your models - the Kfir or Fouga.

I also thought you may be interested in this photo as it has Israeli roots.....

Hello Kevin

I know this model of Kfir.
In the past, some asked me to convert my kfir to this kfir, but I politely refused, because I do not like ugly planes.

take care

Where do I find this or any tutorial on clean canopy? Up to now I have been a paper purist and did not have the need for plastic parts. But for the plane I would also want to have a clear canopy!

I found some thread by OP but they only show pictures of the end result. I am very much wondering how the curved surfaces in plastic are made.

Cheers,
Chris

Yoav, very good! A lot of people do not realize this a Kifir!

Theoretically there are no flying ones left- so I was a bit surprised when it suddenly arrived where I was. Even more so when I learnt it's status.

Wonderful! Thank you for the tutorial. I am sure I will enjoy making one of these. Looking forward to see the face of my better half, when I start to bake plastic in the kitchen and reuse the vaccum cleaner :-)

Chris - those are the exact tutorials that convinced me to consider having a go!

------------------------------------

Yoav - the plaster you mention. That is interior or exterior ready mix plaster - often used a crack filler?

Does that plaster have different commercial names? That bag is written in hebrew, I don't think I will find it in Romania. I've used UHU epoxy resin for the mold and the result, not mentioning the smell, was awfull.
