Good starter kit?
Hey all,
I'm not sure where to post this, but anyone have any recommendations on a good starter aircraft kit to get my feet wet? I don't have a printer yet, so I'll have to buy from the interweb, Thanks, Cheers, Ian |

Fiddlersgreen do a great range suitable for a first try.
http://www.fiddlersgreen.net And there is free one there every month. There is one right now.. http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/618479-post1.html Otherwise Ecardmodels for fancier ones. https://www.ecardmodels.com But for fun and to get your hand in, maybe try Fiddlersgreen first! Take the files to a print shop and they can print them for you on the right card.

Try also some Stahlhart, very nice models, well designed, medium term, neither so simple nor so complicated, ideal to start.

I recommend a simple aircraft from Murph's collection... good amount of detail yet simple to build.

I do not have a printer either, if you want to download from free pages, take the file to a copy center and print it on the correct paper, that is if you are looking for a good copy center or a family that has a printer. I do this, I do not buy commercial kits here is difficult to get them. Test as I say or maybe where you live it is easy to get commercial kits, also keep in mind that several designers send you the file and you have to print it. Have fun with this hobby

Dear Matt:
About once a year I will post on this question the reply of go to our download section in toys and games you will find some scale cubes, One page One part project that needs good scoring lines to go together If you screw up print another when done they are good for photo shots to show scale of the model. Enjoy, Miles And If you search the web you can collect lots of scale cubes
