You are correct. These markers are really amazing. The more you coat the darker they get so you really have fine control over the hues. There is also a "blender" that I haven't quite figgered out yet.

After a more exhaustive research, I must correct myself. Somehow the Fiats from Palma didn't strictly follow Nationalist marking regulations. They sported two stripes at the top and three at the bottom.

Nice work, Michael. It's a really pretty machine and you are making those curves look dang close!

Using some more techniques I have learned here. Airdave's tricks of shaping and burnishing are great. Also adding a tad of tissue paper to give the tail feathers some shape.

So last night I planted strut seeds and as they say in Gay Paree "Overgrown Violin!" this morning the struts had sprouted! Adding the top wing was a bit finicky but with so many I think I did an OK job

That's a mighty smooth fuselage, Michael, and the wings look perfectly aligned.

What a pretty airplane in that color scheme!

I am really learning a lot... This is a really good looking kit! I fell in love with the paint scheme the minute I saw it.

Smith: Not tempted by these giants. 1:100 or 1:300 is my size.

DB: As always thanks fer yer good thoughts and historical context.

Falco: This is probably what you should start out with but as long as you have a big stack of paper you can screw up as much as you like!

There just has to be a better way to make wheels. Trying to give them some shape. I guess you just have to stack a whole bunch of layers then sand them to the correct shape.
