In regard to your clogged hypodermic applicator, I've got one that is attached to a small squeeze bottle. It has a little rubber cap. I find that actually blowing through the tube so the glue goes back into the bottle and then immediately putting the rubber cap keeps the tube (99% of the time at least) ready to go next time.
Don't do what I once did and accidentally squeeze the bottle when your gob's on the other end! Put it this way, I can see why PVA white glue isn't on the menu at restaurants.

I love the Fiat and your result with those fiddly Warren struts.
