I've got a whole bunch of Brent repaints waiting to go. Check out his Fairey Firefly and SB2C Helldiver repaints at Ecards- his attention to detail is second to none.
Bruno and Brent- we are SO lucky to be blessed by this dynamic duo.

Brent just sent me his "modified" repaint of the S&P P-47B "Boog". My Krylon still has not arrived yet (no amazon prime for me). I decided to test build the original S&P P-47B at 1/50 (Edge colored black with sharpie) to pre-solve potential issues during the Brent build... I really like the S&P Planes at 1/50 as it makes the build easier and more enjoyable for me. I noticed a step at the Rudder/Fuselage section that I will correct during the Brent Build. This step is barely noticeable at 1/100 but somewhat noticeable at 1/50 but have no fear it is an easy fix.

Looks good. Quite a size difference

Looks fantastic Falco. But please don't stray too far from the 1/100 club mate!
An unrelated noob question here: this model (like all S&P's) is designed to print out on a single A4 sheet. 1/50 will obviously go off the edges on the same. What do you do about that? Feel free to give me a dumbness rating for asking.

Excellent question and the answer is elementary... You see I suck at any kind of software that would allow for proper re-scale and rearrangement of parts plus, I don’t have a large enough printer or paper to print them. I simply snapshot individual parts or group of parts and print them at 200% size using Adobe PDF Reader’s built in printing settings... I have to print a few more pages but I can live with that. I will demonstrate this during the Brent build which should start tomorrow krylon sealed or not.

Brilliant Holmes! But what DO we do about that Baskerville mongrel?....
Thanks Falco; problem solved. Now where's that 1/144 stuff I've been itching to do in 1/100......

Here comes the Boogie Man's plane... "Boog" at 1:50. Notice the redesign of the forward fuselage section by Brent. This will allow the Cowling to slip over the Fuselage giving the builder the option to go "Cowl Flaps Open". Also notice how I scale up my S&P kits by taking a snapshot of the parts individually or in groups and print them at the desired scale using the build in Adobe Reader printing settings.
P.S. This build will be wheels down and cowling flaps open... I was thinking about motorizing the prop but it would a bit too much for me at the moment but I do want to build it using separate tabs. |

Wow! This will be great. Ihave thought about motorizing but you had better have one perfectly balanced prop on a paper aerioplane!!
If you do it WE NEED VIDEO!!

Did you notice my pet rock in the photo? His name is Rocky and he is a recovering paper model addict... I use to help me "hold down" important paperwork and or paper model parts.
