Welcome back. You really need to rethink this scale switch. 1:50 is wwaaaayyyy bigger than 1:100 and your display space will be quickly overrun. Plus there is the "OMG" factor when people see what you can do in such a tiny size.

Just my opinion. The important thing is to forget yer day job and build as much as you can!

I do like 1/100 for the "WOW" factor but 1/50 is my comfort scale... beside I giveaway all my models after enjoying them for a couple of days; that is why I like S&P Kits so much. Quick Builds that look great. I only have 3 scales that I want to master 1/100, 1/50 and 1/32.

Update... Got the flying surfaces on and the canopy! Going well... 1/100 is growing on me but not enough to make a permanent switch I'm afraid. When I revisit at 1/50 this thing is going to be a beast!

What Michael said Falco. Your little La looks great! 1/100 will grow on you more and more. Besides, they just passed a law in the US that requires ALL aircraft paper modelers to build in 1/100. It's true I tell you!

Disclaimer: What Rata just said is not actually true.

I am sorry guys... I have been all over the place these last couple of days and I was just building whatever I felt like however I felt like. Case and point here are some 1-50 Scale Test Builds of some S&P planes.

What's to apologize for? You just brought up two very important points about the hobby; 1) build whatever you want and 2) build however you want. You want to build 1:50 rescales of Brunos planes, go ahead! The whole point here is to have fun with what you model. Go ahead. Have fun. I dare you!

I know... I know... But I have this stack of 1/100 S&P planes that I promised my broken 1/100 ego that I will build but alas I strayed from the path and got frisky with other scales. No doubt that I am having fun but damn that 1/100 voice in head demanding that I get back on tack.

I saw it on the interwebs so it has to be true. Besides 1:100 is just up the Greenie's alley. Way less dead trees. ;-)
