Yeah, I think pencils would be my choice too. The cheapies are obviously no good- do you prefer a particular brand?

Apologies Kacper, I didn't answer the second part of your post. I've nearly finished a RAN A-4G Skyhawk which I'll posting in the next couple of days. I needed to print off another copy (messed up the undercart on 1st attempt) and my printer is on the fritz.

I use a cheap Christmas decorated pencil I found in the drawer. Some work better than others. This one transfers the colour with hardly no pressure.
