B-17 & Wheaties

Greetings paper modellers!
My brother sent me some old envelopes a few weeks back. They were original prints of Jack Armstrong / Wheaties Tru-Flite models from 1944 and I've been hooked. I've made copies of them to build and found some online also. Here's a question: can I post the color corrected versions here?

Recently I built a pearl harbor B-17 from Ecards that is balanced and ready to throw. hehehe - I'll get video when I do it. ;-)

That looks great, too good to throw!

If you can can complete 25 successful glides you should retire the plane, and take it on a US tour to sell war bonds.

That B-17 you built looks wonderful.

I'm forwarding your question to the administrators of the forum.

Thanks! Edge to surface paper modelling is not easy, and I learned that Elmer's may not be the right choice. If you look closely you'll see wrinkles. I have new glue coming soon that I hope works better. The next B-17 "little miss mischief" will not be thrown.

I saw elsewhere that it may be considered pirated - no worries. I have a Nieuport Bebe that I designed years ago that I can share at some point - once I correct the cowl :-)

Mighty fine Fortress there! And an early mark too! Throw it hard enough to reach Australia....

Nice job, I look forward to seeing how it flies. What did you use for weights to balance it? Did you also re-enforce the nose or anything?

There is a gentleman in Rumania who enlarged my first B-17E kit and built it as an RC model. Here is a link showing the construction and a flight video. You’ll have to scroll halfway down for the start of the B-17 stuff.
