Nice work Isaac
It would be interesting to see the process of removing the excess parts in the nose section for a place to the front landing gear. Shabat Shalom YOAV |

Forward section- cutouts
Now come two areas of removals. The first are the gun ports and the second is the nose landing gear bay.
Remove the forward door cutout only ( the rear is needed until the bay structure is in ) remove the gun port cut outs Install the gun ports inside view Note: I added weights to the nose since I intend to have the model on its landing gear. insert the rear bulkhead I added basic frames made of card stock for the bay. At this point I have enough of the structure inside and am stopping there. A note: In the real Ouragan as others that have a nose air inlet splitter, the nose gear is stowed inside the splitter. However, in this design if I was to add a nose gear bay, it would have to cut into the inlet duct. I decided not to do it and rather have a shallow nose gear bay that has the floor up against the duct. More details later. Isaac

nice work Isaac.
but why the front landing gear bay is panted with silver...it should be white.....also the main landing gear bays should be white. And I think you have a place and possibility to remove some part from the bottom of the splitter to make room for the front wheel. YOAV |

What you see is only the framing painted silver. I will make the walls white and insert it later. Isaac

Joining the fuselage halves
It has been a while since I posted progress, but here it goes again.
The two fuselage halves are to be joined at the cockpit cut out. However, the pieces will be flimsy and I decided to insert the cockpit tub later after joining. The reason for that is that once the two sections are joined, I needed to press with my fingers on the interior joints to keep the sections looking smooth. An alternative would have been to join the forward and aft sections further back at the cylindrical mid section ( part 6 ). Here they are joined Isaac

Landing gear bay interior
I have built the kit from Answer company. However, their interior rendition of the bays is flat and plain. So I have no idea what it looks like inside.
For this model, I will finish them in plain white and take liberties in the depths. . That is a bit later. Here is the only reference pic I see of the Tri colored Ouragan showing white landing gears and interior doors Anyone has pics looking up inside the main gear bays? Isaac

Isaac, I did not understand.
Have you finally closed parts 4 + 5 without putting the cockpit inside? YOAV |

Correct. At this time the cockpit is not inside. It will be assembled later ( there is no problem doing it like that ). I tested it before I connected parts 4 and 5. Isaac

I hope you are right ... Because I see in the pictures, the top margins of Part 5 are slightly open .... Maybe because of the difficulty in assembling the cockpit from the outside ??? YOAV |
