And hi, MichaelS. That's a handsome Spad you have there. Kudos to both the builder and designer. Your new punches look like a useful addition to you workbench, too.

Question. In yesterday's post from Don Boose, the red triangle under the Spad's cockpit reads, "Extraction Seat" rather than, "Ejection Seat." What's the difference?

Time to load those rocket launchers.

Beautiful work young fella. The tail graphics lined up perfectly, dihedral correct and everything square- a treat from every angle.

I concur with Don- this could be your best to date.

The difference in an extraction seat and ejection seat...with the extraction seat,
the pilot is pulled out of the aircraft by the rocket motor, with the seat staying in the aircraft.
With the ejection seat, the pilot and seat are pushed out of the aircraft by the rocket motor.

The extraction seat was also known as the "Yankee seat".
