Dorsal turret details

Ahoy Paper Wrights
Okay did some tidying up on the fuselage and added the framework to the rear dorsal turret done some more burnishing. Next I will move on to the wings so the Envoy can fly tonight I will cut the wings out and form same and make me a wings spar, from here on I am cutting off the kits attaching tabs and adding my own from the inside that way the joining seams will be flush with each other instead of leaving a lip, tomorrow I will add another update the wing constructions.

Other than me not being able to get a straight fuselage, mounting wings is another issue I have building planes. I will be paying close attention

Smile Wing construction

Ahoy Paper Wrights

update build report for the airspeed envoy, okay now its time for the wings so she can fly to the heavens. Before the wing construction is made the center wing spar box has to be assembled formed and glued down. Once the spar box is ready cut out both sides of the fuselage where the wing roots join. now the way I see it the center spar box serves as a tongue and groove to except both wings now for added strength and foiling of the wings I added a spar from wing tip to wing root the starboard wing slips over nicely without fuss and hair pulling. tomorrow I will complete the port wing assembly and the nacelles are next. no fit issues at this time the hard part of the kit is done down hill slide time.

I love the ribbing affect on the wings. Looks like canvas covering; makes it more realistic.

Wiki says Envoy was of wood construction (I think that means mostly plywoods of various kinds and sizes) and fabric covered aerlions.I think there was a lot more fabric used on them than just aerlions.
