Geli f100 surper sabre 1/33

Ahoy Paper Wrights

Here is another build I be doing I got this kit From Isaac a few years back and forgot I had it in my stash. looks to be simple but what I like about the kit that it is very colorful so it will make a great subject here. That makes two us on the forum who is building a Geli kit. I built one Geli kit and went together very well no fit issues either DO217 1/33 scale. It came out sweet I done a build thread of it here. Below are the beginning before the cutting is done.

Fuselage assembly

Ahoy Paper Wrights

First update for the day the fuselage construction begins with cutting out all the fuselage skins and formers and preparing them for assembly. thus far as pictured below the process begins, I have 3 fuselage segments glued in place a little tight but you can squeeze it in with tearing the paper. The fit of parts are excellent its been a while since I built a Geli kit they are not bad kits the first one DO217 went togethwer like a charm not fit issues I assume this kit wont give me no trouble. Okay letting the unit dry tomorrow I will give it a good burnishing and more postings will made to

I remember building it 30 some odd years ago. The silver finish is tricky

Have fun and let's see in May 12th

These fantastic pictures and workmanship just confirms what I have said: GELI models are the best of the best. They are beautiful, easy to make, challenging with a very big collection of over 65 different models. Yes, you purists will say they are not very accurate, and not very detailed but who cares? One can have a beautiful collection of historic and important aircraft without spending centuries making them nor spending fortunes paying for them. Herr Karl Wittrich was indeed a genius and he really knew what we, card modelers wish. Good luck with your F-100.

Is there such a thing as a "digital" Geli kit? I would like to start hoarding Geli kits on my hard drive. Great job on the kit so far... you work at a very fast pace!
