S&p 1/100 p40k
Another of my childhood favorites, the P40 series. this is an earlier S&P offering that actually is pretty good as is. the only mods are enlarging the landing gear fairings and the landing gear. they are simply rolled tubes with the knuckle joints and a cut out rear gear. I made "little" exhaust stubs, little half moon shaped parts about 1 1/2 mm. currently I'm on a P40 binge and am waiting for more of this series.
The P40K was different from the earlier series by having a slightly longer fuselage, bigger engine, more machine guns, 6 of them. the cowling was a little flatter without the huge carburetor air scoop. The K was thought to be the best of the series, power, arms and performance. |

Great Job on a historic airplane that served in most of the major fronts of WWII.
