Ahoy
Just finished up my F100 and posted the final reveal Now its time to build another here is a KLM DC 10 scale of 1/50 looks to be a beautiful plane when completed. I got this from Rons Estate he gave me. so I think Ron would love to see this built Ron40 was an engineer for these Dc 10s and worked on them constantly I have two more of these in my stash. Tomorrow the Envoy will be done and all is there to do is take my time and build this get it prepared for next months model regatta. Here is the Dc 10

Smile Fuselage construction

Ahoy
Here is the first update build report first thing I was greeted with is the massive size of this behemoth HUGEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeecyopu all know me I love them BIG BIG BIG . Okay the beginning has started with the center fuselage segment this is very big to roll with your hands you don't want to roll a crease in the paper the model will be ruined also take note these aluminum printed dersigns will mar very easy if you have dirty hands or during the burnishing you will notice a black blemish when burnishing place a clean paper towel or cloth towel over the seams then burnish away no fear of the finish coming off. The Center section is big very flimsy to handle when you roll the tip is to get yourself a rolling pin place a clean rag or towel place the large cylinder on top of the towel and start rolling like pizza dough then go ahead and cemt them together let dry burnish out the seam when the glue is dry,

Next back off your formers and add same to the fuselage segment I already have done this letting the formers dry on the kit included backing card board sheet. The center fuselage segment is 15 inches long this will give you the scale of this beast. Here are the update pictures for today

That looks great. Very neat how you managed to roll the center section without creases! Great work.

I had this exact model, unfortunately I built it when I was still a beginner so it didn’t turn out too great but I hung it from the ceiling
