mine too. that and the b-17 were the first aircraft I could draw as a kid. I watched a lot of 12 o clock high and the 109 seemed to be the only german fighter that attacked "angel babe" and the formations. the nuns were fascinated when I doodled air battles in art class but the wooden ruler was judiciously applied when I did this in math class.
moving on; the tail feather piece is now applied. I did this separately so that lining up all those flying surfaces as much easier. there was a slight mismatch on the bottom of the tail piece of fuselage, the color is even bigger but the diff is only 1/4 mm so I'm calling it close enough. the other details are applied, captions are on the pics, almost there...

Excellent work mister! We don't often get to see the earlier marks modelled so I'm enjoying this thread immensely. I hope you don't get bored doing a string of 109's just yet. You going to more than just one 'E' ? Hope so.

BTW, thanks again for your wheels & tips tips. (??!)

Oh thank Gawd! The world really needed another of Willy's 15,000! Just kidding. Really nice job. If I were to build a Spitfire target it would be an Emil. Looking forward to yours sir.

Stubborn Emil

next up is the E series. this version was the primary version flying over the UK during the Battle of Britain. Up engine once again, each of the many variant had a plethora of changes. up gunned up cannoned, canon thru the prop hub, deleted canons thru the prop hub, etc. etc. etc. here are an E-3 with wing canons and a desert model. the desert model was repainted before Bruno did a re-vamp of the series.... Oh and Michael S on the assembly line is a much published version that fought in the Battle of Britain...
