S&P 1/100 Me/Bf 109 series

Morning all, while waiting for motivation to edit the p40 series, I reverted back to my original series build the bf/me 109 series by Bruno/S&P. these are all very cool little gems that show some of the smaller differences between the models. first up is the early v1 or A model I like to call it. #1666 I think. this was a prewar version, testing some of the newer propulsion plants and aerodynamic features that would make this one of Germany's most iconic fighters....

next up the killer b. this was the first for serious use version. model #1666, she still retained the 2 wooden blade prop, but sported 2 fuselage mounted mgs.

Next we have the C model. this was one sent to fight in the Spanish civil war. the c model had 2 additional mgs placed in the wings. they also had updated engines. by all internet accounts the 109s had an impressive performance in the engagements in the Spanish civil war, what some call a dress rehearsal for WW2.

With almost 34,000 of the little blighters built, there's certainly plenty of modelling subject matter.

Yours look great!

Fantastic work sir. I personally never saw the huge attraction to Willy's lil fighter but they sure get a lot of attention.

thanks for the compliments guys. Michael each of us has his favourites. My personal WW2 are the me-109, the b-17 the p40s the p-51s the wildcats and for some odd reason the typhoons. something about those aircraft just appeal to me. post war, anything in navy blue and my abfab is the F4 phantom.

I am definitely in your camp on the Allied stuff. My "abfab" is the WildKitty.
