Pacific War 1/72 planes

Over the past year or so, I have slowly been working on a few 1/72 scale World War II planes, mainly for my two boys to zoom around. With that in mind, I did not super detail these, nor did I probably do justice to the models themselves, which are great. I have here an Oddball Productions Betty, a Nobi Zero, and a Nobi F4F Wildcat. The Betty and the Zero are stock, while the Wildcat I changed the color on a bit and gave it markings for a plane attributed to Joe Foss at Guadalcanal (I love the story of the Cactus Air Force).

All three went together great, aside from my lack of skill, and so far have weathered piloting from a 10 year old and a 6 year old. Very sturdy models.

Doug

Well for the purpose they were built for they look great! And I'm sure for two young boys they are ideal. They've lasted for a year? That's incredible!

Nice Doug. Surprised the prop blades are still straight despite the 'action' they're seeing with you sons.

They look great. I like the simplicity and yet they are so accurate.

I would have loved to have such models when I was their age.
I had to work with flat hand drawn and colored models instead. but that was fun too.

One of the reasons I love paper modeling so much. When they get dusty give them away to a child! Back in my dark days of pl#$@tic when I was spending ridiculous amounts of money to make Mr. Tamiya, Ms Airfix and the rest of the gang rich I packed them away in boxes.

Somehow, I missed these when you posted them last year, Doug.

Needless to say, I like the subject matter, and these are mighty fine models. I hope you have built more and that you will share images with us.

Looks like I missed these planes too.

Really nice models of the iconic aircraft from the Pacific. I especially like the Wildcat, but it has always been one of my favorites.
