Added left inner wing panel and attached right aileron. we are getting there.

a little more progress. but i am not liking the gloss, even though the original bird is glossy . thoughts?

Gloss looks OK to me from the pics you posted Neil. What don't you like about it?

The last F4U-7 was built for France in '53. The French Corsairs had a pretty active life. To me your '56 Suez Crisis version has an appropriate level of gloss. In other words it 'looks right'.
I always remember the old modelling maxim: if it looks right then it probably IS right.
