Ansaldo was an industrial company, founded in Sampierdarena (Genoa district) in 1853

Barilla is an Italian multinational company in the food sector, operating in the dry pasta market, ready-made sauces, and bakery products.
It was founded in 1877 in Parma, north Italy, as a workshop that produced bread and pasta by Pietro Barilla, descendant of a family of bakers.

I found that Matt77's recolouring of the Balilla is an excellent rendition of the original one.
I was part of the group that restored the original in Turin, and I had the chance to view the pristine colours of the wings and of the tail, before restoration - Matt77's colours are the best rendition I saw arount till now.
I am impatient to have in my hands his Taube and the SSW models.

A bit more tonight. I started the bottom wings on one of the models. Only got one side done since bending was sort of delicate. Looks ok in the end, though...

I hope to get the other side done tomorrow and then onto the Italian job!
Cheers,
Dan

Thanks Gary and Don...(I think RATA is Gary??? )

I worked on the Polish top wing tonight. I have it basically done except for the tips. It has a large "box spar" that I inserted some 1/16th balsa into for a bit of strength. Then the pre-shaped skins were tweaked and pre-formed and folded around the spar. Seems to look ok. I'll work on the tips tomorrow.

Once the tips are tamed, I'll also work on the Italian wings tomorrow! Thanks for looking,
Dan

Thanks, Glen...I just got the top wings done. Still needs some work on the tips. I really don't think I should have cut those darts out...I'll have another chance on the Italian wings!

I added the ailerons, hinges, metal covering on the tip wing in the middle and the aileron bell crank fairings (tear drops neat the center section).

All is well and more later but Italian style!

Dan
