Thanks Boats. I wouldn't mind if this whole forum was devoted to yellow wing birds!

Yes. That book and a few others are invaluable for modeling 1919-1941 U.S. Navy aviation.

Growing up, aviation subject matter books were my favorite things in the world... I remember spending (at age 12) 200 USD on an aircraft atlas book that covered all the aircrafts ever documented ever in one book... That book was huge and it was my personal treasure until it got lost in a moving accident (some boxes fell off the truck). I remember that is the one and only time I cursed at my parents because of this... It did not end well for me.

That's a sad story Falco. Did you ever find a replacement?
In this wonderful internet-information-at-your-fingertips age I've still got all my old books and magazines filling a large bookcase. I can't bring myself to ever part with them. Whenever I start a new model those books are always my first port of call for relevant info and 3-views etc. The trouble is they're not in any way catalogued so I have to rely on memory to find stuff!

Sadly no... I purchased the book in France and I was too young to care for or memorize who the publisher was. All I remember is that it was an extremely thick book with a metallic grey cover and featured all aircraft ever designed/build (even the DaVinci Schematics) with 3 view drawings which I made copies of to build "basic" flying paper models.
