Even a lot of pre-molded clear plastics can be used (like rickstef's soda bottle idea). The heat will take care of any previous shaping if the plastic can be clamped flat prior to molding.

You can use transparent covers of cheese boxes.

But you can buy a sheet of PVC in all kinds of art and craft stores.

Nothing I have is working and the PVC is waaaaaay to expensive. If anyone can vacuform a 60% (1/50 scale) canopy from YOAV's Super Mystere, and lives in the US and ship it to me, I'd offset the cost if it isn't too much. If anyone can, please DM me.

if you have an empty soda bottle, cut out a section large enough, heat it up to soften the plastic, and then pull it over the mold

PVC expensive?.....strange.
1 sheet of 70-100 cm cost in my country about 2.5 $
