Fiddlers Green

After or during a complex build I often fall back to FG to satisfy my need for instant gratification. With little effort, one can make up an impressive collection.I now have quite a nice display, unfortunatly all awaiting rigging. This is one I did awhile ago,its one of Chips early renditions that I did a little work to before building.

Always glad to see a Fiddlers Green model.

This one is beautiful as you built it.

Hello hangman
You have built a nice model
Perhaps it would be better to use a matt varnish or satin paint, not shiny.
But that is a personal choice.
I like it, congratulations

Thanks fellas.I finish my ww2 & post war military aircraft in a matt finish, however many ww1 bi-planes had a gloss finish as do many Tiger moths around the world today.

Its always nice to see FG builds... FG is really what got me started in the hobby. I pretty much have their entire aviation collection.

Yes, the glossy paint contains less matt additives, so its durability and weather resistance is greater.
But over time, it takes a matt look.
Then it depends on the aspect you want to give your model, as freshly painted (bright) or with hours of flight and service (matt).
I really like the second model that you have put, I did not know it.
These old planes attract me to more modern ones
Like motorcycles .....
