When I design my recolors I always try to make them historically accurate and attractive as well.

And I think it works.

First WIP is here!
Canopy was quite tricky, not easy to form. Rear metal part of it was designed a bit too downward(in 1/300 it's probably fine). You can see the results of this struggle in attachments.

Cuban blue & olive drab camo is absolutely beautiful, isn't it? One of my favorites.

You're absolutely right, it's very beautiful. It's staying great, as usual.

This is just a fantastic thread with everyone's discussions. The aerioplane is also really cool. Once again Kacper I am just bowled over by your quality and build speed.

These MiGs require only few hours to complete. Bruno did fantastic work designing them. They're really enjoyable. You should try to build one for yourself, Michael.

My UTI is actually finished. Now it needs retouch, varnish and stand.

I REALLY like this one Kacper. Did you choose the canopy colour? Asking cos it looks really effective on this.

Regarding scale color accuracy, if a designer bases his model on an actual museum piece then technically it's still a scale model.
