1/100 MiG-15UTI Cuba (S&P, PacificWind's Recolors)

NEW RECOLOR!

I don't know why but for some reason I love Cuban Revolutionary Air Force planes.
Here's the MiG-15UTI recolored into my favorite Cuban camouflage with striking colors - blue & olive drab.

Enlarged from 1/300 to 1/100

It's the definitive version, parts were tested, so everything should be fine.
I can't wait to start this MiG... When I finish Il-28, this Cuban UTI will land on my desk immediately!

MiG-15UTI Cuban Revolutionary Air Force
1/100
Scissors & Planes, PacificWind's Recolors

RELEASE TOMORROW...

That cammo sort of reminds me of late Mig -21bis used by Vietnam but they used 2 shades of blue.It was a lighter and much darker one going a bit green-ish jade color.

Nice work.I'm hoping that as years go by we get more info and pictures of older jets used in old commie places like Cuba,N.Korea,Vietnam etc.Very little info on those now so kudos to you for bringing in a reminder of Cold War years gone by.

I was seeing pictures of the real plane, it's very nice, now I do not know if that camouflage would be effective, it's very striking

Nice work! The Cuban Revolutionary Air Force is among my favourites subjects for modelling. I´m working in recolours of C.R.A.F. in Angola War service (Mig 21 & 23). Keep on recolouring!!! Tony.

Hard to say. They were used in Caribbean. Turquoise water, some green islands... who knows...
MiGs on your pictures are probably in the museum. That's why the colors looks little faded. Cubans probably used many different colors. I've seen a lot of different shades of blue and green on their planes.

MiG-21 in attachment has the closest colors to mine, I think.

As you say, they are photos of a museum, airplanes outdoors, the climate does its work. I also saw camouflages from different countries that used the Mig, one more rare than another and very beautiful.

Mind you, museum done paint jobs are often exaggerated. I have seen this with Polish,Russian,Romanian and Canadian museums. Wrong shades, wrong colors, wrong camo are common place since cost is a huge factor and job is done by volunteers. I don't think Cuban museum in s month ch different.
