That's terrible Kurt. Sure there's nothing you can do to salvage?

Sad to hear about this landing gear issue.
But I'm sure the next time you build this bird it will be much better!! Will look forward to to your future builds. Regards,

Thank you, Everyone, for your kind words.
The sketches do not show position of the wheelwells. It's possible there is a note in the instructions, in German. This is the first time I've messed up a major kit this badly. But I haven't thrown anything out, yet. Maybe I'll brood over it while I do another kit and see about salvaging it down the road. Another possibility is to watch ebay and see if someone abandons a partially-started kit... Happens once in a blue moon. The sheets on this kit are bigger than my scanner. But even if I'd scanned them, the glossy paint colors could not be duplicated on this printer. Best regards, Kurt |

Kurt,
Sorry for your flub. I am glad to hear I'm not the only one who does this kind of stuff!

That looks great! I have about 15 Geli's I've picked up over the years but have never got around to building. They are fine models for sure!

This one is moving along, again. I was able to tear the glue strips loose from the wrong end of the upper and lower fuselage panels. There was some difficulty in getting the panels joined to the front section. But, it's done, and now I'll be continuing with the rest of the kit.
The wheelwells are still reversed, right on left and vice versa, since I did not want to risk more damage while tearing them loose. Despite that, I don't see any problem. Maybe I also had them backwards so that now they are correct? Take care, Kurt |

Happy to see more work being done on this bird.
Slow and steady wins the race, to use an old cliché. Look forward to more.
