Thanks Rata
The horizontal and vertical tail surfaces are modeled in much the same way as Halinski does.
The usual rolled paper bits were used to help shape the curved leading edges.

Thanks, ct ertz

Mating the tail surfaces to the rear fuselage was easier than I expected. There are some complex surfaces but the fit is good. Because of the sharply tapering rear fuselage cross section, the rear wire of the horizontal tail is almost tangent to the fuselage. There is a single hole in the skin for that wire, instead of two holes for the forward wire.

Very nice. Nice arrestor hook as well.

@ Glen - there is something a bit odd on the white tail: it is the dark blue tail bumper (or whatever it is...). I wonder if it is a glitch...
@ Michael - the paper hinge has enough friction to allow the arrestor hook to hold at any position

The wheels are quite different from other models. The main gear tires have an almost stare section. The front wheel has a hollow center, which makes my rolled paper method a bit trickier. As in other assemblies, there is an “easy” version for both the wheels and the landing gear.

Dang...those are so cool. I like looking at each of your posts and considering each piece as a model by itself.

Keep going!!

Sorry. What is a "stare" section?
