Thanks so much Gene and Péricles. This hobby is it's own reward but it sure don't hurt to know people take the time to look and then post support.

Ian -

There are a number of interwar U.S. Navy and Marine Corps aircraft available in 1/33. For example, Kartonowa offers the SB2U-1 in the markings of an aircraft of Bombing Squadron 2. Both David Sakrison and Ricardo Leite have posted build threads of that model.

GPM offers the Curtiss BFC-2 and the F11C-2, while Answer offers the Curtiss BF2C-1, all available through GPM: https://sklep.gpm.pl/en

Both Aaron Murphy (https://murphs-models.webs.com/) and Roman Vasyliev (https://kampfflieger.ecwid.com/) offer interwar U.S. Navy aircraft. Aaron's models tend to be in larger scales and can be easily scaled to 1/33. Roman has a wide selection, but they are in 1/72 and 1/48.

I am sure that if you spend a little time checking the sites of other 1/33 model manufacturers, you will find others.

Don

T-Shirt Homage to Garry's SB2U-1

With our air conditioner broken down on a day with temperatures in the 90s (F), I looked for something cool to wear and found an old Flying Aces Club T-shirt with a painting by Bob Bojanowski of Vought SB2U-1 BuNo 0739 (3-B-13), the same airplane that Garry modeled. I thought this a remarkable coincidence and so asked Lil to take a snapshot.

Next Model.

This is the Fiddler's Green Curtiss JN-4H 'Jenny'- A6226 of the Old Rhinebeck collection. Not a bad model that goes together nicely. Needless to say the rigging took the longest! Decided to present this one 'in flight' but minus my usual acetate disc 'spinning prop'.
And now over to Don.
