Seems a more effective was of deceptively changing scale than my 6 inch paper penny, or 12 inch long paper exacto knife blade...

I'll post a pic of his empty hand so other members can photoshop their big scale stuff onto it and claim they've built a 1/144 masterpiece.

......and Texman, you can just keep doing 1/144 masterpieces. We already know you can do it.

Thanks Glen. I'll be trying a Bruno 1/100 version of a Grumman Duck in the not too distant future.

Your 1/100 models may have a fraction of the number of parts of 1/33 versions but they make up lovely models! Who said “small is beautiful”?

S&p's T4M-1 in 1/100 scale, Yellow Wings!

Another fun build from Bruno at S&P. This aircraft is available as a wheeled, land/ship based aircraft or as a float version. For the price of one dollar, you can not beat the value and fun to be had!
The first photo is of a US Marine Corps land based aircraft. These historical photos really helped me figure out what all of the struts were for. I even resorted to an old sticks and tissue model plan. Photo 2 was a good shot of the landing gear. Note the space between the wheels cleared for mounting a torpedo or bomb.
The third photo shows my wing mounting process. The 4th is my method of trying to get everything properly aligned. The red bricks are 3/4 inch steel key stock. The are pretty heavy (stable) and the right angles come in handy. The 5th photo is my field expedient drying jig...

Thanks again to all of you designers!
Mike

S&p's T4M-1 in 1/100 scale, Yellow Wings!

This is the second part of my post, I could not figure out how to add all of the photos. My fault!
Coming down the home stretch, the next photo shows the rear crewman, mounting a Lewis Gun for defense. Number 7 (or what would be if I could figure out how to add numbers and captions on the photos) is a 3 quarter shot, hopefully you can see the rigging on the wings. I have been using the Paint Brush Bristle method. Try it, it works great! I should invest in a pair of dividers instead of using the TLAR method. (That Looks About Right) The last two photos show the aircraft on a deck and comparison of some other era aircraft. 1/100 scale and yellow wings, how can you go wrong?
Thanks,
Mike
