I know the Brit and US military used them. We had at least one RAAF (Antarctic surveys) Beaver. Some still flying here on civil register- one recently crashing made the news. I often see a Beaver floatplane flying over Syd Harbour Bridge in the afternoons as I'm crossing in my bus (yeah, I know, I should be watching the road....).

Yep, it sure is strange. I found several what-if liveries, but none of the turbo.

I am pretty sure that Jim Gausman designed a Turbo Beaver for DGA. I can't check now, because there is no list of models at the DGA site and ECardmodels is temporarily down.

Is the model illustrated in this Post at Dave Winfield's CutandFold Forum a Turbo Beaver: DGA Paper Models Aircraft (DeHavilland, Lockheed) - Forum?

From Left to Right:

-- Tiger Moth
-- "Standard" Beaver (Radial engine)
-- DHC-3T Turbo Otter (affectionately known as the "Turbo Swineboat"
