My homage to my youth and Aurora, one of the plastic model companies that I grew up with. Any of you REAL old guys may remember this kit. It came out in about 1959 BC. It had a little ground scene with wheel chocks as part of the kit. I have no idea how many of these I built back in the day but I was a Lafayette Escadrille Groupie back then.
This kit was an exercise in frustration for me. I suppose for those used to these large scale kits it is OK. For me the design itself was OK but the instructions (which are printed in Polish) and the parts layout on the sheets were ridiculous. MANY of the parts are not called out in the 2 or 3 3-views provided. Someone in this company's marketing department needs to get with the program nad issue this and similar kits in different languages. I mean with Google translate nowadays how hard would that be? All in all I am proud of this but only because I didn't let it beat me. In my many years of building all sorts of models (plastic, balsa stick & tissue, u-control flying kits and now paper) I have only let a very few kits beat me. I wasn't going to start now. For anyone who would like to peruse the whole WIP here is the Google Photos album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Gey5X4Npdgm8Wibn7

Really extraordinary, you have done a magnificent construction, everything looks excellent. Very well done! You use the material you use, whatever scale, whatever model, it will always be extraordinary. You are a great modeller with extraordinary skill. My congratulations Michael.

That's one small step for Michael, one giant leap for papermodeling-kind."

Went ahead and started the 1:100 version. Really made some good progress. Now if life will just stay out of my way for a while I can knock this one out and start on Roman's P-12E
