Hi,
I like this model and the photos: In the sky the planes are also sometimes upside down

Thanks everyone for the kind words and continued interest

Well, I have completed work on this bird The overall result is satisfying despite my many flaws as a builder, and the canopy that I made with packaging tape is satisfying enough IMO. The immaculate coloring and texturing of the model really helps enhance its looks and make it look pretty dang good, especially from a distance

A great job, I really like your model, you made a good construction with that Spit. And do not worry, none of us have everything perfect, but accommodating the camera is quite disguised hehe.

That Spit remains one of my favourite builds and still sits proudly on a shelf near my computer. Great work on it! Bader was a very interesting fellow, I almost enjoyed reading about him as much as I enjoyed building it. If you ever want to revisit it, the bubble canopy former is well worth the trouble.

I actually designed a poseable pilot specifically for this plane, it you had a mind for one. It might still be available on my site, but if not, hit me with a PM and I can send you the files.

Thanks guys

Tirick, i think for now i will settle with my crappy tape canopy, but i will not rule out the possibility to return to the model! I would like to make a vacuuform machine eventually, and the kit has a skeleton of sorts to help vacuform a canopy.

Michael, i usually have a few 1/200 builds im working on but in terms of a larger build like this i think ill make a fighter next - either one of Yoav's or I can bite the bullet and make a halinski tomcat or viper or gpm's f15e

Canopies, wow, a subject in and of itself. Regardless, you build a very nice Spitfire, Sir. Bloody well done!
