Consider edge colouring for the exposed edges, or the dreaded "flashes".

It takes more time but it is worth it.

There is plenty on the forum on how to do it. Coloured pencils, crayons, water colours, feltips are all options. Just experiment first!

Surprisingly i have been edge coloring on this model However, my colored pencils are really lacking and I have been considering investing in pens...
I have been getting better at edge coloring with my smaller-scale planes, but on larger scales i either color too dark or too light, and it appears i have been erring to the later with this build lol. I will try and bare down more with future steps, but my pencils can never match the color of my printer and can end up drawing more attention to seams IRL... its a slippery slope!

Gene K here on the forum turned me on to Derwent Watercolor pencils. I have just received them but so far they are great. Best part is you get to use spit, which as everyone knows is the secret to any good model.

Hello guys and thank you for continued interest
I was sick for about a week and kinda got out of the habit of building so progress has been a bit slow, but i completed the wings and the fuselage up to the nose cone, as well as a few more odds and ends. All that remains is the nose cone/propellor, canopy, main landing gear, and a few more small details. Work on this bird should be done soon

Looking good paperengineer. Nothing you can do about upside down pics. You buggers just live on the wrong side of the planet.....

Unfortunately not now since this board has a strange () "feature" of not being able to go back to edit a post after a certain time period. There must be a logical reason for this, but it's beyond me.

HOWEVER, if one edits the wayward photos immediately after seeing them posted, all can be "rectified". To edit the orientation, use a photo editing program, resave the photos in correct orientation, and then repost. Google has more technical info than you'd want - search Exif data correction ... or something similar.

Yes, a pain, but a workaround.
