By the way I don't think you're birds are ordinary at all. Sapsuckers, Pileateds, Cardinals, Eastern Bluebirds! Nope. In fact one of my favorite watercolor artists of birds, Louis Aggaziz Fuertes, was from Ithica, with similar birds....you can see some of his stuff still at Sapsucker Woods.
I see the pictures aren't that good, uploaded from my phone...

Thank you Doug, Mike and Peter for the kind words, has been fun one.
Small progress little things to work on yet, lots of them but working down the list. I took off the canopy so working on that yet, some additional gear parts and mainly painting the prop and working on the wing floats
