I ran across that image interesting mock-up and a bit helpful for cockpit dimensions...I wasn’t sure it was from the design team that is cool. I’ve been reading about Loening aircraft as led to this plane in about every design detail it seems that the early planes from Loening had very little if any testing prior to flying a prototype they were onto something with their “duck”!

Interesting. Perhaps the thinking was 'well, we know ducks can fly so if we call our plane a Duck we should be ok....'

So do you live there? I would. I was last there in 1967 believe it or not. Of course then all the aircraft were in caves.

I long to make the trek to Pensacola back to the Naval Aviation Museum. Gene K lives up there and he has promised me a guided tour.
