All kidding aside, this is turning into one nice model mister. Like your other builds I've been following slavishly.
Actually back in the day I used to build scale stick & tissue Guillows, Cleveland & Comet kits and I did exactly that. Rigged them up so the control surfaces worked.

A little work on the tail, stabs and rudder
Thinking about the engine, I think will use the one from the p-47, one row. Also thinking about rigging and I think will keep it simple pretty much when I get there..hopefully some more progress this weekend.

Was able to get this far with the engine, I was planning to show the difference between the Pratt and Whitney and the Wright radials of similar size, if possible, one easily visible difference being that the Wright has the origin of the push rod tubes from the gear housing instead of the engine case, with the ignition wires behind the tubes, quite easily noted distinction, so am thinking of representing this in a simplified way.. not likely to put in the ignition wires though..a bit more detail than the rest of this one. I haven't see any paper models that show this difference that I've noticed.

Glen ,

Will your beautiful model be available for purchase, or is this a one-off?

Unfortunately is probably a one off as am putting in elements from lots of sources for this I’m not that quick with the computer work as a lot of others. (would be cool to work it into a format for others to build though. I’m not sure how Modelik would take it as well. Even as is other builders could try it but is far from a refined model .)

Dan thanks Hope you had fun one, looking to some of you for rigging advice, presently thinking about monofilament as my first choice no turnbuckles on this one so should be fairly simple that way

Cannot stress highly enough how good .005 stainless steel wire is at rigging aerioplanes of this size.
