Macchi mc 202 1/100 scale S&P

After the me 109 series I wanted to do something different so what popped up but the MC 202 Folgore (thunderbolt). I was a progression from the MC200, streamlined and up engine. well not that far from the 109 it used a Italian build DB601A engine from the Messerschmitt! this was one of the underestimated aircraft of WW2. It was fast very maneuverable but had a few detractors such as under armed with only 2 fuselage mounted mgs, tended to spin and the landing gear sometimes deployed in steep dives. despite these during 1942 it was said that the kill ratio was on par or slightly better than the 109s at the time. The 202 served in all the fronts that Italy was involved with in WW2.
The kit is one of Bruno's early 1st generation kits but is very well detailed and colored. the landing gear was scratched built cylinders with a horse shoe to capture the wheel and the little strut knuckles. I tried MichaelS technique for the antennae aerial and looks good so far. on to the next...

Nicely done.

If I may, does your camera have a white balance setting?
If so, changing it to use a light bulb setting with
balance out the yellow in your pictures.

Nice Folgore CMDRTED. You're paintbrush bristle hunting expedition was obviously successful!
I'd like to get quite a few of Bruno's early models but the lack of landing gear on types like this is a bit of a deterrent. You seem to have overcome it nicely.
Any chance of a more detailed description on how?

Taking Texman's advice I fumbled thru the settings on my old Panasonic lumix. I think the yellow was toned out, lets see... garry I will psot a thread on designing landing gear. it isn't as hard as it seems.

Cmdr T,

Sir this process is considered Top Secret and cannot be used without prior authorization by first filing form 3.1416 in triplicate. Once your Pi form has been received it will be considered for acceptance. Once you have received authorization you may use this technique freely as long as the Patent holder is acknowledged.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

ER? Which technique? the color balance from Texman, or the plan to teach the Aussie how to make landing gear? Surely not the ground breaking technique of rigging wires that is so obvious that if it were a snake it would've bit me? Oh by the way my request is sitting in a dusty cabinet in a dark basement of a seldom used office of the office of redundancy, stamped lost found then crumpled then restored!

Panasonic Lumix. Exactly what I have. Model DMC-FZ30.

Picked it up in Germany back in 2005.

Mine is the dmc-ts2, "water proof" to 33 feet. I think the first time I did an eskimo roll on the kayak the telephoto went on the fritz. This after doing all the prep stuff it wanted on the camera screen. thanks for the tip.

I think CMDRTED and MichaelS are closet bureaucrats. Or ex military.....

The second set of photos look heaps better by the way.
