Here's a USS Macon in the design stage. Since USS Akron was a sister airship it could be built as either one I suppose.

There was also a 1/350 paper model of USS Macon that came with a mooring mast and itsy-bitsy little Sparrowhawk fighter to hand off the trapeze. Sorry, don't have any details apart from that, no manufacturer or date....

PMI had a 1:350 U.S.S Macon that I believe was their own-no publisher marks that I can see.
Ass Ron points out they were sister ships, revisions to the condensors, vents and of course the names should do most of the trick

G1;
PMI sold a 1/400 scale Acron model for about $8.00 or so. not sure if they have any in stock, but a place to start. If they don't have any they might be able to tell you who does. The kit is pretty decent, is in a metalic looking paper that resembles the doped fabric. Had a tiny F9C sparrow hawk fighter, and templates for the mooring mast. HM |

Yes!
I've been wanting to do these for years. I'd also love to do the test bed Shenandoah!
The US had the sweetest of the Airship fleets, even if the German's definately had the most effective! Flying aircraft carriers! What is cooler? Let me know if you find these silver doped babes! The DC
