A6M2N2 "Rufe" S&P century scale
While browsing thru my S&P collection I decided to replace an aircraft that was in my collection in 1/33 scale. The Nakajima modified A6M was based on the A6M2 mod 11 zero by Mitsubishi. This was a straight conversion, wheels and wells faired over, tail hook removed and floats added. Surprisingly it only suffered a slight loss in speed but maintained the armament and maneuverability of the parent zero. Much unlike the scantily documented Me 109 conversion previously built up on this site. The kit went together very well, the floats attached securely without any inside wire reinforcements. I had to touch up the entire center float as water spots dotted the green/gray interface, caused by some impatience on my part. Next up, who knows? I still need to replace a Grumman guardian, a4, several WW1 models, Migs, F5s, F20, Stuka Fw 190s, the list goes on....

Fantastic Rufe! Especially great work with floats. They're not that easy to form in 1/100!
