P-36 Hawk A-4-Nobi/PacificWind modification

Not long ago PacificWind did nice Chinese recolor of Nobi's H75 Hawk. Using sanitized (sans markings) version of that recolor I tried building A-4 Version of P-36 hawk as used in Finland.Result is on the pictures.

A-4 version used the same Cyclone engine as Thai and Chinese P-36 but unlike those it had retractable undercarriage.Curtiss company sold that plane in many trims starting from bare bones, solid undercarrige models with Cyclone engines to full trim Twin Wasp models and much better electric and hydraulic system.

Model printed on laser "monster" printer so it's shiny a bit.Small mistake-undercarrige legs are too short.Glues like a dream but for edge coloring I had to use charcoal pencil rather than plain jane 4B I have.Last picture shows how I added parts to make undercarriage.

Edit-I will post model if Nobi agrees.

Great work B-ski! Good to see inroads into other P-36 versions.

Thanks guys.
This is my second attempt at making decent P-36 from Ilmavoimat. Here is the first one made from extensively recolored and scaled down old MATA model.BW trial version in the background.

That's really good. I have combined pieces of Nobi's P-36 and Bruno's P-40 to make the French version. I just never got around to building it.

Good job on that S&P kit young fella.

I have been telling these designers that they are missing the boat on not doing more of the P-26 / Hawk series. So many markings. Not much of anything more colorful than Vichy French Hawk markings.

The streamlined skies from the Modelik Fokker DXXI,Nr19/05, would look neat, IF they are appropriate.

Finns never fitted skis on their P-36s. Afaik squadrons operating those were posted on the same airfields with German squadrons and airfields were kept snow free.Mud was something else.I don't think I have seen picture of Finn Hawk with wheel covers. Those were likely removed permanently.German Stukas operating in Lapland also have wheel spats removed for same reason.
