After finishing my RMS Mauretania, I'm continuing with the Ju-88A-4 Torp... and making a test with the one of two Boeing 727 that I have found in the internet: this one, a 727-30 from Lufthansa made by LSB Holland at 1/70 scale, and some Brune VanHecke at 1/300 scale.
I selected the Holland's, and rescaled it to 1/144. Why? Because, even as I would have prefeared to continue with my 1/72 scale, a lot of jet airliners are longer than 36 meters, meaning longer that 50cm at 1/72 scale.
My goal is the make this 727-30 plane, and later change the model to build some 727-200adv airliners, including two Iberias, one with each livery.

Anyway, that's in the future. As I said, I wasn't happy with the waves test of my 1/72 Ju-88A, so I'm "erasing" them. I cut the wings too, painted silver the landing lights and started the stiling and assembly.
Compared with my Mosquito, you can see that it will be my biggest aircraft paper model to the date.

Assembled the tail cone, painted the swastika (the white border was a headache) and discoreved a mistake in the painting of the original paper model wing. As I'm not following this paint scheme, there is not problem for me

I was planning to assemble the wing ribs and let the fuselage root for later, or let the wings removables.
But the inner part, the one that joins wings and fuselage, is too weak. I made a inner reinforcement in the fuselage glued to the central strut, and I really recomend to make this strut in wood or reinforced with wire.
The fuselage reinforcement is necesary too.
Anyway, I really need to do both wings and the fuselage section the sooner the better.
But, looking for the good side, the Ju-88 is going fine, and I'm sure will be a wonderfull model when finished.

Alejandro, looks very good, the reinforcements bore me, but they are necessary.

This weekend I finished the wings and the rear fuselaje, and painted the both greens of the camouflaje.
I need to make the engines and cockpit yet, and paint the waves.
There are no pictures, sorry. My camera is traveling by Dominican Republic until the end of the month and my cellpone was pickpocket this Fryday.

The fuselage is finished and painted, at least the green colors. I'm undecided if paint the waves first, or assemble the engines first.
The is a bath under the cockpit that I'll glue after assembling the wheels. Same with the torpedos.
The machine guns in the cockpit are glued but not painted yet.
I found the specific group of this paint scheme, the 3/KG 26, Norway 1945. The id could be 1H+F?, the last character still undecided.

Ok, more research. Here is info for the KG 26:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kampfgeschwader_26
And the model that I'll do will be the 1H+FL
Now it comes the difficult part: to paint the waves of the Wellenmuster camouflage.
The good (or bad) news is that the waves were painted by hand, with no plane equal to another one. Meaning that ALL the models painted with this scheme (including mine) are wrong but nobody can prove it unless you find the real plane with the original paint still in place.

Due to this week blackout, the "only" paperwork that I did was to start a Piper Cherokee at 1/72 scale. The metro/subway/trains were down all the week until today, so I hope to go home tomorrow, check the fridge for rotten food and continue to assemble the Ju-88
