Thanks, Falco.
This weekend I placed (and painted) the wing roots, started to assemble the propellers and the torpedo supports.
You must remember that, being hand painted, sometimes the paint seems unfinished... because it's only the first layer.
The wing insignias, for example, aren't finished. The fuselage ones will be aplied as a decal from a plastic model I owned. Same with some of the identification characters.
The coat of arms is finished.
The original paper model is based in the Ju-88A-5. Mine is a Ju-88A-4, so the engine radiator and exhausts are slighty different. I'm already planing the changes.
As you can see, this is the biggest paper plane I have made until today

Very well done Alejandro! It looks great, even if you say that another coat of paint is missing it looks very good like that. Great job!

Thanks, Sergio!
This weekend has been profitable. First, I finished the propelers, the landing gear covers and the bathtub. under the cockpit.
I have a complete plastic bathtub that I was planing to use, but because there is not plastic glue in Venezuela, I couldn't place it. Wathever.
I finished the second hand of paint, too
I discovered that the Ju-88 had dive brakes under the wings, near the leading edge outside of the engines. I had forgotten that the Ju-88 was a "to-do-everithing" airplane. So, placed the dive brakes and painted the german cross over them.
Soon, I will be able to paint the waves.

This weekend I continued with the engines... and the register of the plane. As I said, I decided to use the register 1H+FL as possibly one of the 103 Ju-88 planes that were used to attack the convoy PQ 17 on 27 June 1942.
The characters 1HL and the cross are decals that remained from plactic models. The yellow F is hand painted. Same with the F under the wings, is painted.
Still don't know why some pictures taken with my tablet are uploaded rotated when I see them ok in my computer. Sorry

This weekend was dedicated to the engines. Each engine has as many parts as the rest of the wing.
As I said, the original paper model is a Ju-88A-1 version, while mine is a Ju-88A-4. It means that the exausts are different, the coolers are bigger in mine, and the cowl will be open in mine.

I mixed the underbelly grey, and painted part of the fuselage and wing. And, AT LAST! started the final aplication of the Wellenmuster camouflage.
Now you can see why I wanted this specific paint scheme.
The small tails in front of the plane are two Me-262, that I started too.
I need to finish the rest of the plane before continuing the painting... well, maybe can paint the rest of the fuselage meanwhile, it's too much temptation.

This post will be a long one.
First, AT LAST!!!!! finished the upper side of the Ju-88.
At last you can see why I selected this special camouflage and why I love it so much.
As I wrote, the original paper model is suposed to be a Ju-88A-1, and I'm assembling a Ju-88A-4. The engines are different, no problem, I fixed it. But the -4 model has a wing span 2 meters longer than the -1. When I read about it, I expected to have a difference of 3 cm in my model, and was fearing if the difference would be so bad that I'll have to give away the model.
Well, it didn't. The width is almost perfect, and the lenght is just 2% longer, almost nothing. Soo, it seems that the original paper model has the measurements of a later model, just like I needed.
The "disrupted" camouflaje seems to have been a speciality of the Axis forces, as you can see in one of the pictures. It's similar to the one depicted on the MC 202, but not so much.
And, last but not least, both Me-262 are advancing. You can see that one has the standart matt camouflage, and the other has a shinning one. That's because the second one is a reproduction flown after the year 2002, a stormbird depicting loosely the White 3, and painted with Air Shows in mind.
For more information about the stormbirds, read https://www.airspacemag.com/military...695578/?no-ist

Proceeding with the planes.
The Ju-88 received some wing actuators and one of the radio antenaes. The wheels where made from balsa wood, for a first try, they look fine.
I remembered that the A-1 model didn't have the big cooler under the engines, but the rest of the series have it. As I said/wrote before, the original paper model is a mix of -1 and -5 parts. So I'll have to make the cooler by myself.
I decided to paint just the upside with waves, not all the planes received the full camouflage.
The tail wheel is going to be difficult because I can't find the necessary glue to reinforce it. I received a tip about a place where I could find it, I'll go.
The inside of the wheel compartments and the wheel brakes are painted dark (see pictures). some sources say black, others green, grey or even clear ghost grey. At last, I decided to use dark green.
About both Me-262s, I started to cut the wings, here compared with a plastic P-51. There is a P-51 in my list of "printed but not started" models.

Almost ready.
This weekend I placed the ventral antenae, the coolers under the engines, fineshed all the landing ger including the doors.
And placed some of flaps and airbrake actuators.
The tail wheel was a funny affair. I was worried that merging electring wire with white glue would result in a weakness. Considering that my plnes are supposed to last 20-30 years, it's a valid point. So I made a experiment, tried something more, and when I realised, the tail wheel no only was finished, but it can turn left and right like the real one.
The main wheels are made of balsa wook, the rear one is a plastic wheel taken from a 1/144 Space Shuttle nose gear.
So, just remain to do the rest of the antenae, the rest of the actuators, one last layer of ghost gray RLM 65 Hellblau and, of course, the torpedos.
My only regret is that I didn't reinforced the wing strong enough.
But, it's too late now.
What I can still do, is to build a better bathtub under the cockpit. Or improve the current one
