My 1/72 scale planes 2nd part
Having made 10 paper planes, I decided to make 10 more. But to prevent making a too long thread, I'm starting a new one.
And, my technique has improved, too (or at least I hope so) If you haven't read the previous one, it' here My 1/72 Scale Planes As you can see, I use to style the parts with a hard pen over a soft support, and in this case it was done from both sides. Later, when I paint the plane, it will have the tridimensional aspect of the real one. This Spitfire comes from a Zio Prudenziati model, rescaled and printed in black, because I'm planing to change the unit and identification of the real plane. I reinforced the wing with cardboard, and cut the landing gear pits. The bullet in the picture is a real 12.7mm bullet and cartrige that I vas told belonged to a Mirage V. Unfortunately the Mirage V had 30mm guns, so...

The wing was reinforced.
The m1 part, the join under the wings, must be bend carefully after gluying to the fuselage. Looking in my plastic cementery, I found the weels, the propeller and some decals of another Supermarine Spitfire Mk I that I assembled don't know when. They will be used to improve this model. Pierino included the parts for both kinds of wings: the one with cannons and machine guns, and the original one with 8 machine guns. The one I'm assembling carried only machine guns. I feel motivated, and I like how it is going. I expect to finish it this weekend.

Very well done Alejandro, it looks very good. It's been a long time since I built two of these Spit for my twin nephews. They are very nice and nice to build. Of course I did not make any improvements or painting. I hope the end

Mine are reinforced because I'm building them to last more than 30 years. The type VIIC I'm including in the pictures was made near 1985, and was build in balsa wood, paper, lead, clips, varnish and paint (and it floats!) Anyway, the radiators are finished, the cockpit is placed and I'm in love with this model. I was lucky and this pictures show the styling made in the wing, showing clearly that I don't use color effects to display the panels but real 3d surfaces.

Incredible, more than 30 years, mine do not have that luck, with 13 nephews plus some friends do not have much life. Only one of 8 years has a few and takes care of them a lot. It looks fantastic your Spit, great work, and painting I love it. It's perfect what you've done on the wings.

This weekend I placed de main wheels and the propeller. I did the second hand of paint.
A funny thing was that I was going to place the decals over the wings... and when I placed them in water they disintegrate! Thinking better, this particular decals would have been 30 years old... or more! Anyway, a bit of paint and everithing fixed. The exaust are placed, too.

This weekend finished the Spitfire. I LIKE iT!
The last details were the identifcation on the laterals of the fuselage and the antena aft the cockpit. I placed it with a paper Fw-190a-5, a plastic P-51 and a plastic Bf-109, all of them at 1/72 scale. I really love this Spitfire!

Another Zio Prudenzio wonder, this one printed in color.
So far, just asembling the sub-units. This one is going to be easy, just some reinforcements inside the wings and two ovals in the fuselage. The windshield will be made in transparent acetate.
