Talking SPAD VII from Nobi in 1:100

So I heard there is this gang of rabble rousers over here on this aviation forum who only build 1:100 and smaller kits. I am normally not an anarchist type of guy but in this case I decided to make an exception.

This is a SPLENDID 1:100 SPAD VII from our friend Nobi and Thaipaperwork. The attention to detail in such a small kit is phenomenal. He has:

1. Provided all the parts to be double up on in one section.

2. Provided linking tabs in this tiny kit.

3. Provided and interior for the visible part through the cockpit opening including the floor.

4. And the real Killer ----- He has provided the insignia showing through the lower surface of the upper wing and the upper surface of the lower wing!! In my pla@#$#teeq days there were a few decal manufacturers that attempted to do this but it really didn't come off well.

This time around I am going to really get on my game. I am cutting inside the black color lines so it doesn't look like a paint by number half done. From my past I know a lot about this planes shape and am really going to try to nail it.

I have some O rings from my good friend Gene K that I will try to use on the wheels.

This little jewel is coming right along. So far everything fits very nicely. Too bad no one will ever see inside that tiny cockpit hole..

/Sarcasm on

Oh I will open and flare them of course. I will also drill out the gun barrel. I am a little upset because Nobi missed 2 of the rivets on the cowl.

/Sarcasm off

No he didn't. They're elsewhere on the design to be used as an option. Or are they flyspots on my copy? I'll get back to you.....
