Here is finished P-36 recolor (or re-branding if you will) of CU-585 in post war livery. If I had enough skills I would put a lot of weathering and peeled of paint with this one.Finns didn't have resources and money anymore for major overhauls and painting of aircraft after 1945 and Hawks along with some Fiat G.50s and Fokkers DXXIs were pushed over to advanced flight training as some squadrons have been disbanded.I'm not sure about this but I think one of my books suggests those fighters in flight training have also been disarmed as per Soviet Commission order/request.

Like with previous livery files for this recolor will be cleaned up and send to Aaron for everyone enjoyment.

More pictures. This model came out better than previous.Practice makes one perfect.I noticed that fuselage shape would have been nearly impossible to make without formers but that's just my opinion.

Came out really nice.
P-36 looks way better in this late Finnish camouflage and markings. Swastikas doesn't really suit this plane in my opinion, although they're historical fact, of course.

I wish I could build more post war Finnish models but there are so very few made to recolor them.I have plans for Mig-15UTI (Oddball from Aaron) and possible IL-28 from really ancient Maly Modelarz. There are always 3 models of Draken from Stahlhart since Aaron won't likely finish his model (I hope he will some day).

If I find a good info on post war Buffalo or Finnish build Hummu version I will make one as well.

It's a beautiful model!

Thanks for taking on this beta build and sharing all the info with us, including additional info about Finnish aircraft.

You are welcome

My bro asked me once "why Finnish'? and I get the vibe sometimes that blue swastika is a no-go those days.Actually it's very simple. Some time ago I decided to narrow my paper interests since there is like a gazilion of models to choose from.Finland was one option,China (Kuomintang/Taiwan) was another,so were Philippines,India,Egypt and Hungary.Books I had had a lot of references with Finnish and Hungarian military history and hardly any other.I do Hungarian planes when I get them but Ilmavoimat history seems much more complicated and interesting. So I dived into it
